How do you work out what my bike is worth?
We look at every Buy It Now listing on eBay for your model today, in the condition and groupset you pick, and take the middle (median) price including postage. The range shown is the middle half of those listings.
Is this what my bike will sell for?
It's what similar bikes are listed for, not what they sell for. To sell quickly, price near the bottom of the range; if you can wait, near the typical price. Bikes with recent servicing, upgrades, receipts or a known history sell for more.
What affects a used road bike's value most?
The groupset (Dura-Ace and Ultegra bikes are worth far more than Tiagra ones), frame material, model year, size (very small and very large frames sell for less) and condition. Crash damage on a carbon frame cuts the value sharply.
